Excellence
in Training - Quick Facts |
|
Our
training has been described as “Gold Standard.” |
|
|
Training
can be done on-site either in Van Hoose’s facility,
at your facility, at a mobile facility, or can be computer
based. |
|
|
Training
on our Electronic Manager Product
takes less than four hours per user. |
|
|
After
our product is implemented and your staff trained, we
provide “floor walking” which consists of
having our trainers available to you during normal working
hours to assist users in any capacity needed. |
|
|
We
train selected members of your staff to enable them to
edit within our software product, after the project is
completed and all users trained, thereby eliminating continued
dependence upon Van Hoose. |
Excellence
in Training VHA’s
Gold Standard Training
We
at VHA start our training with a standard format which we
enhance to contain a scenario that strikes a familiar chord
with your community of users. This will typically include
the discussion of a common business process using terminology
unique to your company. Our customized approach allows users
to visualize the use of our Electronic
Manager (EM) application tool in their own environment.
Our
training approach is provided on two levels:
1.
On-Site Training
First
is our hands-on classroom approach. Training can be accomplished
at our facilities in Dayton, Ohio or at your location. If
training facilities are not available at your location, we
can assemble a mobile training classroom facility.
This
training, which is fun and interactive, will introduce employees
of your company to the core EM application features. The functionality
of the tool will be the same regardless of the department
or area a user works in. Our classes can be designed to train
users from different areas separately or together, depending
on the goals set by management. Our consultants then work
with each customer group to determine the best way to train
their employees. Our goal is for each new user to develop
a comfort level with the product that will allow them to return
to their desks and begin to actively use the system. Quick
reference guides are provided to all users, as well as, an
online help function to further assist them, once they have
left the classroom. Offering hands-on training fully engages
your employees in a solutions-minded environment. As a result,
the classes frequently generate spontaneous discussions on
how to best apply the EM tool within their environment. Because
of the great value generated by these discussions, we strongly
encourage the use of classroom training for the majority of
our customers at each site.
2.
Computer Based Training
A second method of training is offered in situations that
require a large number of users to be trained quickly, and
also for users who are unable to attend classroom training.
This alternative is our Computer Based Training (CBT). CBT
can be tailored to your unique processes or you can choose
to use a more generic approach. Whether your staff needs hands
on learning or CBT, VHA is there to deliver the same caliber
of excellence in either venue. Here at VHA we realize that
sometimes it is difficult for individuals to break away from
their responsibilities and benefit from our top quality training
in person. To address this unique need, Van Hoose Associates
offers not only convenient CD media training, but distance
learning via the web, as well. A user simply logs in and attends
a training session right from his/her desk at home, or at
the office. We remove the how, when and where as roadblocks
to your successful training answer.
Either training method will enable your employees to learn
the basics of EM and how to navigate throughout the system
with a limited investment of their time.
The Bonus: It takes less than half a day
in a hands-on class to grasp 100% of the EM functionality.
Topping It Off – Floor Walking
You
have the option to request VHA Customer Follow-Up Support
personnel who can actually reside within your various departments
for a specific time period as your users begin to ramp up
and populate EM with
their own materials and files. We refer to this as “Floor
Walking.” This follow-up can occur on an intermittent
basis for up to several weeks after training is completed
and the product is fully implemented. This phase can include
anything from one-on-one training at an individual’s
desk, to assisting in the development and implementation of
planning strategies. This On-Site Support, which we call the
Jump
Start Program can truly maximize the benefits
of EM in your workplace.
Training
an Administrator
In order for VHA to provide you with a turnkey solution,
our customers may elect to maintain the EM
in house. In order to ensure that someone in your organization
is able to make changes, as needed in your program, we train
people from your company and call them Functional Systems
Administrators (FSA’s). These FSA’s are trained
to work within the Admin Module
of EM wherein they are able to change permissions,
rename files, tabs, etc. and make other changes to the program,
as needed.
The
Bonus: It takes less than half a day in a hands-on
class to grasp 100% of the EM – Admin Module functionality.
